The parts of a cargo hold that fail inspection are almost always the parts nobody could reach. Upper side frames, the underside of hatch covers, transverse bulkhead stiffeners and the hold overhead sit far beyond the reach of deck-level equipment, and building staging for them consumes days the schedule rarely has.
Rope access solves it. Our IRATA-certified technicians descend from anchor points at the coaming and work the full height of the hold with hand tools, lances and inspection equipment. There is no scaffolding to erect, no cherry picker to land on board, and no hold left half-prepared because access ran out.

Structural condition, coating breakdown and corrosion recorded at height with photographs, giving you inspection-quality data as a by-product of the clean.

Localised descaling, surface preparation and touch-up coating applied at height, so identified breakdown is treated in the same mobilisation.

Rigging, rescue and supervision
Every work site is rigged with independent working and backup lines under a Level 3 supervisor, with a documented rescue plan in place before the first descent.

We assess anchor points, hold geometry and obstructions, then produce a rigging and rescue plan specific to the vessel.

Enclosed-space entry, work-at-height and hot-work permits are raised with the ship, and the rescue arrangement is briefed to all parties.

Technicians work in pairs under Level 3 supervision, descending in planned passes so no area is missed and progress is auditable.
