Dirty petroleum product and clean petroleum product trades demand very different things from a tank cleaning contractor. DPP work is a fight against heavy residue, wax and sludge. CPP work is a fight against the last few parts per million of contamination standing between you and a passed wall wash.
We do both, and we plan each one from the cargo pair rather than from a generic procedure. The previous cargo, the nominated cargo, the coating condition and the charterer's acceptance criteria determine the wash media, temperature, cycle count and verification method before a single machine is dropped.

Scope of work
What is included as standard. Anything outside this is quoted separately and flagged before mobilisation, never added afterwards.
- 01
Pre-clean assessment
Cargo history, tank coating condition, heating coil status and the next cargo specification are reviewed to fix the cleaning method and realistic acceptance criteria.
- 02
Machine washing
Fixed and portable tank cleaning machines run to a calculated cycle programme, using hot or cold sea water, fresh water and approved chemicals as the cargo pair requires.
- 03
Hand hosing and manual finishing
Bellmouths, suction wells, framing, heating coils and structural shadows are hand-hosed and manually finished — the areas machines geometrically cannot reach.
- 04
Draining, mopping and drying
Tanks are stripped, mopped and dried so no free water or residue remains to contaminate the next grade or skew the wall wash result.
- 05
Gas-freeing and verification
Ventilation to safe-for-entry or gas-free-for-hot-work condition, with continuous monitoring and independent certification arranged where required.
How we deliver it
- 01
Method statement and risk assessment
A cargo-pair-specific procedure, JSA and permit package is agreed with the vessel and, where applicable, the charterer's inspector.
- 02
Washing and stripping
Machine cycles run to plan with stripping, recirculation and slop management controlled throughout the operation.
- 03
Manual finishing and inspection
Teams enter under full enclosed-space procedure to finish shadow areas and confirm the tank visually before testing.
- 04
Testing and presentation
Wall wash or visual inspection is carried out with the surveyor, and the tank is presented for acceptance with full documentation.
Frequently asked
Can you guarantee a passed wall wash?
No contractor honestly can, because the result also depends on coating age and condition, the previous cargo history and the inspector's criteria. What we do guarantee is that the method is correct for the cargo pair, that we will tell you before mobilisation if the tank condition makes the target unrealistic, and that we will keep working until the agreed standard is met or the limiting factor is clearly identified.
Do you supply the tank cleaning chemicals?
Yes. We supply marine-approved cleaning chemicals with current safety data sheets, selected for the cargo pair and compatible with the tank coating system.
We always ready to serve you.
